PEx Admin

Prior to the development of Prac Admin the Faculty of Education supported the roles of 4 full term equivalents (FTEs) dedicated to liaising with students and schools, to coordinating student preferences and the school placements on offer. Prac Admin was initially designed to replace the paper-based, labour intensive process with a web-based system with automated processes and reporting. With the deployment of Prac Admin our administrative burden in the roles of student liaison, school liaison and placement coordinators have significantly gained in efficiency.

In the time that Prac Admin has been deployed to manage the professional experience programs within the Faculty of Education, the needs for placements have grown from 800 placements per annum to more than 2000 per annum. Despite this growth in demand the time dedicated by staff to this task has not scaled significantly and has allowed our personnel to address more pressing needs in education.
